Fairshift Academy · For Kids

A real AI school for curious kids.

AI is the most important thing happening in your child's lifetime. They should understand it before it understands them. Fairshift Academy for Kids teaches what AI actually is, how it actually works, and why they should be skeptical of it — before they ever trust it.

For parents, first

If you trust your child with a book, you can trust us with them.

We are not YouTube. We are not TikTok. We are not a free platform funded by selling attention. We are a school that charges for learning and leaves your child alone the moment they close it.

Every lesson your child does is visible to you. Every conversation with Sage is logged and downloadable by you. Every lab runs entirely in the browser with no calls to real AI infrastructure. Every data point we collect is listed in our DPDP notice in plain English.

If that does not convince you, revoke consent with one click. You get a full JSON export of your child's data within minutes.

Our promises

Six things we promise, in writing.

Not marketing copy. Load-bearing engineering decisions. If any one of these slips, we pull the product.

Playful, not patronizing

Kids are smarter than most tech thinks. Sage talks to them like curious people, not a customer segment. Analogies first, jargon later, always respectful.

100% sandboxed from production AI

Kids never touch real Emma, Lyra, or Ethan. Every lab is a pixel-identical simulator that runs locally — no external infrastructure, no real agents, no data going anywhere.

Parent dashboard built in

Parents get a separate dashboard with child progress, Sage conversation logs, screen-time controls, and a big red "revoke consent" button. Full transparency, by design.

DPDP Act 2023 compliant

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act sets the child consent threshold at 18. We match it. No account for under-18 learners without verified parental consent. Period.

No live classes for kids in v1

No LiveKit video rooms, no teacher chat rooms, no peer messaging. The only thing your kid talks to is Sage, and those conversations are visible to you.

Honest about limits

We tell kids when AI is wrong. We show them how AI hallucinates. We teach skepticism before confidence. A good AI school starts by teaching you not to trust AI.

The first curriculum

Meet AI — Your First Week.

Six lessons. About 90 minutes of total time. Free forever. Your child finishes knowing more about AI than most adults do — including why to be skeptical of it.

01

What AI actually is

12 min

It is not a robot. It is not a brain. It is a pattern machine that learned from huge piles of examples. Sage walks through it without using a single confusing word.

02

Why ChatGPT makes things up

10 min

Sometimes AI is confidently wrong. That is a feature of how it works, not a bug. Once you know why, you stop trusting it blindly. This lesson is the single most important thing a kid learns.

03

Write your first real prompt

15 min

Prompts are instructions. Good instructions get good results. Sage gives a bad prompt, shows what came out, and then helps the kid fix it. They feel the difference.

04

Meet a simulated AI voice

20 min

A pixel-identical simulator that looks exactly like a real voice agent. The kid gives it instructions and watches it respond. No real phone calls. No real data.

05

Make your first AI artwork

18 min

A simulated image generator with a safety filter hardcoded at the scripting level. The kid types a prompt and watches what happens. The output goes to their private sandbox, nowhere else.

06

AI in the real world

15 min

Where AI is helping, where it is hurting, and where kids get a say in what happens next. The curriculum ends on a conversation, not a quiz.

Play is the method

Kids do not learn from videos. They learn from doing.

Every lesson ends in a lab. The lab is not a quiz and not a video. It is a thing they do — write a prompt, watch the output, fix the prompt, watch the better output. They remember what they made because they made it.

For kids, every lab is a scripted simulator. It looks pixel-identical to the real production version, but it runs entirely in their browser. There is no real phone call. There is no real video generation. There is no data being sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, or anywhere else.

The simulator is good enough that kids have the full experience. It is safe enough that parents have the full peace of mind.

You see everything. Always.

  • Every lesson your child starts, completes, or struggles with.
  • Every Sage conversation, with timestamps, searchable and downloadable.
  • Daily screen-time totals and caps you can set and enforce.
  • Any content moderation flag raised by Sage, shown to you within minutes.
  • One-click data export. One-click consent revocation.
Questions parents ask first

Straight answers.

The minimum possible. Email (from the parent account), display name (no real name required), age band, progress through lessons, and Sage conversation transcripts. That is it. No location, no device fingerprinting, no social graph, no third-party trackers. Kid rows have data_minimization_mode enabled at the database level, which strips emails from any view a teacher could access.
